    Eco-Friendly Container Ships

This fall, Port of Oakland officials welcomed the “Ever Superb,” the latest “green” container ship in Evergreen Marine Corporation’s fleet of eco-friendly vessels into the Port of Oakland.

Evergreen Marine Corporation is an industry leader in adding next generation “Green” ships to their fleet.  These new vessels not only meet but also often exceed some of the strictest global environmental standards and are designed with these features in mind.

The Ever Superb was named “Ship of the year” 2006 by Lloyd’s List Maritime Asia.  To read a news brief about this prestigious honor please click here.

Recently, the Evergreen Group’s Seventh Eco-friendly vessel the “Every Strong” took to the water for the first time at the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ Kobe shipyard. The Ever Strong is expected to enter service in March of 2007.
